Egmore Train Station

Egmore Train Station is one of the two main train stations of Chennai. The building of the Egmore Railway Station with decorative domes is one of the prominent landmarks of Chennai. This station is known in Tamil as Ezhumbur.

Most south bound trains and some west bound trains leave from Egmore Train Station. Egmore Train Station features a platform into which private cars and vans can enter into the train station and offload/ pick up passengers from the platform. This stations is also very well connected to the city by being adjacent to the south bound MRTS track.
